My last permanent staff job was writing for a news agency providing daily news and features to contracted customers to upload onto their websites, adhering to strict deadlines and quotas. I covered a whole spectrum of fields, from charity to law, property to fashion, poker to travel, health to food, personal finance to Wall Street news.
I wrote for a variety of audiences, tailoring articles to meet the needs of different clients, whether they needed articles to be lighthearted or serious, highly technical or accessible to all.
I have also worked for The Big Issue (TBI), adhering to all sorts of News Values. The most challenging item I had to report on to date was an inquest and samples of my work there can be found on my website.
I hold joint honours BA degree in English and German Studies, awarded by University College London. I have an A-grade A-level in English (and 5 in total grades A & B).
I have always been self-motivated, choosing to enter Journalism more proactively by applying for work experience rather than taking a formal Journalism qualification. I adapt easily to all situations and am flexible in my approach to work. I am a personable and approachable individual and an excellent source of support whether in or out of the office. I care deeply about the impact of my work and my presence and ensure that it is always of the highest worth possible.
