I have been a professional writer and editor for 27 years.
During those 27 years I have written, subbed and edited 12 regular publications including staff magazines, a monthly arts review magazine and What's On listings plus countless one-off flyers and leaflets - I lost count at 42!
I have researched and written hundreds of press releases, stories and features; organised some cracking press and public launch events and worked on a variety of publicity campaigns. I have also won two national awards as editor of the Nottingham Arrow - Nottingham City Council's residents' magazine.
I was editor between August 2007 and May 2010 and during that time The Arrow won: The Chartered Institute of Pubic Relations Award for the Best Civic Newspaper/Magazine and the Gold Award for Best Publication in the LGA Reputation Awards.
I am an English graduate and became a freelance writer and editor in May 2011.
