I am currently writing travel features, especially American based ones, for Ambergreen Marketing. However, as well as travel, I am highly interested in fashion and beauty journalism, as well as delving into current issues and writing features.

I graduated last year with a high 2:1 in Journalism from the NCTJ (National Council of Training for Journalists) approved Harlow College, in conjunction with Anglia Ruskin University.
As well my degree, I also completed the NCTJ One Year Magazines Qualification, in which I obtained A's in Subbing, Feature Writing (as well as Feature Writing for B2B publications) and Background to Industry. I also obtained passes in Law, Shorthand, News Writing and Photojournalism.
I am currently freelancing for an online marketing company, Ambergreen Marketing, as well as approaching other publications with my ideas. Marketing has always been of an interest to me, as writing can be highly persuasive and can sell an idea to somebody.
I have had previous work experience at Look magazine, Heat magazine (twice), Closer Online, HAIR, Pregnancy & Birth magazine, Hair and Beauty magazine and my local Echo newspaper. I also had work experiences at Cosmopolitan and Pregnancy and Birth. I have published work on Closer Online, on findasalon.co.uk and in Look magazine, as well my local paper.
During my placements, it has always been my job to source, write and sub stories, as well as find the necessary photo to match the story. I know how to use Photoshop and InDesign and always edit my pictures to make sure they are of the highest quality. It was also my duty to contact PR companies and to "call in" products, as well as overseeing their returns, which allowed me to build up experience in dealing with PR and Marketing companies.
I have been working in recruitment, but I was still writing the job adverts and I was in charge of all marketing, campaigns we ran and designing posters and literature. I was also in charge of promoting the company to candidates and companies through e-campaigns and other promotional literature.
