Martel is an author, presenter and journalist. She has written weekly opinion columns for The Scottish Sun and Scotland on Sunday and blogs for the Huffington Post. She appears weekly on shows including itv1's Lorraine and has presented numerous radio and television shows in Scotland. Martel is often called on as an entertainment expert, having worked as a showbiz reporter for The Sun. Her debut novel Scandalous, a romantic comedy, was published last year by Penguin. Before becoming The Sun's first graduate trainee, Martel trained as a criminal lawyer. Martel is based in London and Scotland.
