John Dean, 46, is an award-winning journalist of 25 years standing. The freelance agency in which he is a joint partner was established in September 1996. In May 1998 he was named North-East Freelance Journalist of the Year for a portfolio which included environmental and law and order affairs, and again in May 2002. In May 1999 he was named North-East Environmental Reporter of the Year and again in May 2000. His work includes:

FEATURE WRITING/WEB REPORTING on subjects including Information Technology, business/e-commerce, farming and the environment. He has done work for publications as diverse as The Sunday Telegraph, Daily Express, Police Review, Farming in the North, The Northern Echo, The Sunday Post, Farming in Yorkshire, Farming in the North.
PROMOTIONAL COPYWRITING/NEWSLETTER WRITING AND EDITING/PUBLIC RELATIONS for clients including Wear Valley District Council, Middlesbrough Council, University of Teesside, One NorthEast, County Durham Business and Learning Partnership, the Home Office.
