Kim Tasso BA(Hons) DipM FCIM MBA is an independent consultant, specialising in the professional services sector, with over 20 years' marketing and sales experience. She started her consultancy in January 1994 and has worked for over 300 legal, accountancy and surveying clients advising on and providing training in the strategic and operational aspects of marketing, selling and client development - including the technology, human resources and operational management issues.
She was the first Director of Marketing at leading City law firm Nabarro between 1989 and 1993. Between 1987 and 1989, she was Marketing Manager at Touche Ross Management Consultants (now Deloittes) and before this she was employed in the information technology sector by Honeywell Bull (now Groupe Bull), Logica plc and Comshare.
She has an honours degree in psychology, a diploma in marketing, a diploma in professional coach/mentoring and an MBA. She is also an NLP Practitioner. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (a Registered Marketer and a Registered Consultant), the Institute of Direct Marketing, the Chartered Institute of Journalists, the Institute of Directors, the Managing Partners’ Forum, the Professional Marketing Services Group and Profile (marketing in property network).
Over 500 of her articles on marketing professional services have been published (Estates Gazette, Professional Marketing, Solicitors Journal, Legal Abacus, Eclectic (Institute of Bankers) etc), she is a regular speaker on the marketing of professional services and lectured part-time on CIM and CAM post graduate marketing courses. She wrote the chapter on marketing for the Law Society's "Probate Practitioners Handbook" and her book "Dynamic Practice Development - Selling skills and techniques for the professions” is in its second edition. She co-wrote “Media relations in property” which was published in March 2006.
She is currently writing a third book on management and growth strategies in the UK real esate sector.
She writes blogs (KimT and MayB) for a major London portal www.allinlondon.co.uk on things to do with kids in London and also on London developments.
