Simon Vail – A brief Biography
Simon Vail has over fifteen years experience as a freelance technology
journalist. After graduation he worked in the marketing department of a UK PC start-up in, before joining the London-based international publisher VNU as a reporter. He went freelance in 1986, and specialises in writing about the practical implementation of technology in business. In 1990 a year's assignment took him to Hong Kong, where he reported on Asian business and technology. He has written for The Times, Weekend FT, Management Today, and contributes to Business and Technology, Computers and Finance and MicroScope. He lives in Henley-on-Thames, England.
Often to be seen on, or more often in the Thames, while apparently kayaking or sailing. Also expects audiences to pay up good money to watch performances as an actor.
