Based in Northern Ireland, I've a wide experience of news journalism, having worked in both TV and radio on daily and weekly output. This includes overseeing news bulletins, recorded reports and live broadcasting. I regularly contribute to panel discussions on the newspapers for the weekly religion and ethics programme, and I have presented the morning business slot for the daily current affairs programme "Good Morning Ulster" . I also have a background in copywriting, including for the web, and I am trained in proofreading. I have published ariticles on yoga, complimentary therapies, environmental and social issues and the arts. Brought up in Manchester, I have worked as a journalist in England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, where I am now based.
I have taught English in Spain and for the Council for Community Relations in Manchester as well as having performed voluntary work in Nicaragua , for the National Trust in Cumbria, and as a speaker for Amnesty International in Northern Ireland. I am a parent governor at my local primary school and sing with the local folk choir.
