|Full name||Simon Arron|
I work as a writer and translator (French-English) and have specialised in motorsport and motoring since the Ford Cortina MkIV was the height of fashion. My present commitments range from attending every round of the Formula One world championship to compiling a gadget column for The Daily Telegraph's Motoring section on Saturdays. All commissions cheerfully considered.

Joined Motoring News (now Motorsport News) direct from university in 1982. Rose to deputy editor in 1985 and left to become Fast Lane production editor (later road test editor) in March 1988. Appointed editor of Motor Sport in August 1991 and dovetailed that with
co-editorship of Motoring News from February 1995-October 1996. Then decided to inflate the already oversubscribed freelance sector by a factor of one. I'm based in Beckenham, Kent, but am happy to cover stupid distances if a job sounds sufficiently engaging.
