An English Lit graduate of Oxford University, I have 17 years' experience as a journalist. I started out at Condé-Nast as a sub-editor (I was a finalist in the Vogue Talent Competition) and moved on to Country Living, before going freelance in 1995. I sub-edited and wrote for the weekend sections and magazines of the Sunday Times, Times, Sunday and Saturday Telegraph, then in 1997 launched as a travel writer with regular commissions for British Airways High Life. In 2000-1 I was Deputy Editor of British Airways' Business Life. I moved to Paris in April 2001 to work as production editor on the guides and went freelance again when the Paris office was disbanded in 2004. Since then I have written guidebooks (Paris Revisited - Chrysalis Books, Paris Night + Day - Pulse Guides, Chic Paris - Authentik City Guides, France Instructions for Use - Illustrata Press) and freelanced for British, American and Australian publications.
