A garden writer, designer, photographer and artist, I designed and managed the well-known Chesters Walled Garden for twenty-three years. I have now created a new, private garden which was recently the subject of two year series in the English Garden magazine. I contribute to national and local gardening magazines as well as writing for the 100 year old column Country Diary in the Guardian.
Travel writing from the north of England. Recent travel pieces include a short stay in Gothenburg, barge travel on the Caledonian Canal, walks on the Northumberland coast and North Pennines.
