Charlotte Rixon is the Communications Coordinator for The Tree Council, the UK’s leading charity for trees and the organisation behind National Tree Week and the Tree Warden Scheme. As such, she is perfectly placed to write about all manner of tree-related topics including: planting and caring for trees; the Tree Charter; threats to trees and woods (e.g. the Sheffield street tree controversy, ash dieback, HS2); ancient trees and woods; trees in history, art and culture; woodland walks, wildlife and foraging; the role of trees in flooding and climate change; different types of treescape (e.g. avenues, orchards and hedgerows); international issues such as illegal logging and reforestation and tree festivals (e.g. National Tree Week, Apple Day, Tree Dressing Day).

She keeps a blog about trees and treescapes: thearborealist.wordpress.com

She is also willing and able to write about other topics related to nature, wildlife, conservation, the environment and the outdoors, particularly country walking, London wildlife and reconnecting children with nature.

She became a mother in 2017 following successful treatment with an advanced form of IVF known as PICSI and is therefore able to write firsthand about fertility issues.
