Over the past decade, I have travelled across Asia on assignments for international publishers, reporting from the backstreets of Chongqing and the Beijing Olympics to the top of Kuala Lumpur's highest tower and Calcutta's Eden Gardens cricket ground.
Previously, I held several editorial management positions for UK-based publishers before moving into travel and consumer publishing. I have since edited several business and corporate travel magazines – including ASTA Network, Shanghai Business Review and BizChina-Update.com – and have interviewed global CEOs, government officials, sports stars and celebrities on four continents.
I have recently contributed China and Asia-based features to The Guardian, Art Info, Business Traveler, Concierge.com, Conde Nast Traveller, MSN.com, SilverKris, Silk Road and Prestige. I have also researched and written several comprehensive travel industry analysis reports for Mintel: including Outbound Travel from Southeast Asia, The Emergence of FIT in Asia, Backpacking Trends in Australasia and the 2014 Myanmar Report.
