I am a British freelancer who has worked as a journalist and editor for more than 20 years. I returned to the UK after having spent two years in South Africa at the end of 2014, but prior to this was editor of HRZone.co.uk, an online publication and community aimed at HR professionals, for 18 months.
I started my career in 1992 working on a daily tech newswire service, but entered the dotcom world four years later after joining online daily news service, vnunet.com. I worked there for about five years, two of which were spent in San Francisco, California, as US Bureau Chief.
I was subsequently employed in a freelance capacity for 10 years, getting involved in everything from copywriting and developing multifarious kinds of marketing material to writing for a wide range of publications - and am currently doing so again.
In my time, I have written, among others, for International Business Times, the Guardian, the Sunday Telegraph, BusinessGreen.com, InfoSecurity, Computer Fraud and Security, People Development, the Manager, Third Sector, Outsource and Financial Director magazine.
