Marketing and PR Career:
Jan 07 – May 07: Coussins Associates (Marketing Consultants): I worked on a case study project called “Sentinel” for this established marketing company which involved researching computer technology used in schools. , I interviewed two head teachers about this (“Ranger”) technology and presented my findings in an audited case-study, for use by Sentinel at a trade exhibition.Selling in of news story regarding “Social Software” and their connectivity IT project which has developed new technology that allows seamless data-sharing between different social agencies, in conjunction with Youth Justice Board. The resulting feature was published on “Care and Health” website / newsletter (circulation 100,000) with strong interest from “Government IT”, “Government Opportunities”, The Custodial Review”, “Criminal Justice Matters”, “Jane’s Police Review” and “Young People Now”.

2004/5: Children With Aids Charity (CWAC): Press/Marketing. I wrote several articles for this (small) charity’s newsletter. I organised for the charity to participate at The Prince’s Trust; a high profile, international music event which raised the charity’s profile. I also organised/executed a press/pr campaign to successfully attract new patrons / financial sponsorship for CWAC, by sending targeted letters / press-packs, and following up relevant national press stories.

2005/6 Daniel Blake Designs Ltd: Fashion Press/PR. I interviewed this London-based designer and wrote the press biography for his website, as well as targeted press releases for publicity/distribution.

2005/6 Music PR for “The Mustangs”: I secured features in the music press and an interview on BBC Radio for the band. I have also arranged gigs for the band at bars/clubs in London, including playing at Hyde Park. I also secured airplay on Scottish radio as well as a festival booking for 2007.
