Marcus is a technology and internet editor with over 25 years’ experience writing and explaining new and future technologies to business audiences in the retail, financial services and general business

Marcus is a technology and internet editor with over 25 years’ experience writing and explaining new and future technologies to business audiences in the retail, financial services and general business sector, across all sizes of business from SMEs through to Enterprises.

Until recently Marcus was the Editor of Cloud Computing Intelligence magazine where he spent three years covering the UK and US cloud computing market and the associated big data, DevOps and the Internet of things market. Previous editorial positions include editing, TechRadar Pro, Internet Works, Startups.co.uk, Growing Business, and Business 2.0.

As well as his journalistic experience Marcus has also helped a number of businesses as a technology consultant. Recent work includes; a year as an in-house software architect at MoreThan/Royal Sun Alliance in the e-business team. Mobile Product Manager at the Guardian (a role he created), and with IT trainers Firebrand working on their apprenticeship and corporate training schemes.

Marcus has a degree in Computer Science and Industrial Management at Liverpool University and did a Masters in Microprocessor Engineering and Digital Electronics at UMIST (now Manchester University).
