Award winning journalist (Best Review from Guild Of Regional Film Writers 2002) who was Film Editor of The Leeds Guide from 2001-2006, where I provided listing, reviews and the DVD section. During my time there I also contributed many articles outside of the film section including book, CD and comedy reviews. Also spent my time doing freelance work for the Metro, Hotdog, Kamera.co.uk and work as the film section editor of Northern Exposure. I am currently contributing on a freelance basis to Film and Festivals magazine, Netribution.co.uk and others.
I am a member of BAFTA and Fipresci (the International Federation of Film Critics) who I have represented at international film festivals such as Krakow and Oberhausen.
Aside from journalism I also work as director of Hull Film, with previous experience of Leeds International Film Festival as the press officer. This allows me to see many new and upcoming films alongside helping to nurture new talent.
My specialties are short films, UK Features, new talent, film music and books and Film Festivals. I also have an interest in comedy, graphic novels and science fiction.
