I have contributed to nearly 100 magazines, newspapers and websites in a freelance capacity. My work has appeared in Corp!, Crain’s Detroit Business, Electronic Media, Law & Order, 9-1-1, several health care magazines published by the American Hospital Association, Gift Shop magazine, Beckett sports publications, Woodall’s travel publications, The Detroit News and numerous regional and national trade publications. I have written on numerous topics from business to public and consumer safety to sports with an emphasis on profiles and features.
In addition to my published work I have completed writing projects for private clients, including small businesses in such fields as automotive, finance, health care retail and other professional service firms. I have also worked closely with several marketing communications, graphic and web design firms as a freelance copywriter for their client in an outsourced capacity. In these and other capacities, I have written copy for brochures, direct mail pieces, websites and more.
My work also has included ghostwriting for professional service providers and placing these articles in professional trade or consumer journals. In fact my ghostwriting services include not only the article writing, research and editing but the public relations work securing publication.
My past marketing work has included experience in public and media relations, direct marketing, event planning, strategic marketing, writing and graphic design, website implementation and more. I have worked in a marketing capacity for DTE Energy Technologies and The Detroit Medical Center and currently serve as a contract marketing professional for a large research firm in Southeastern Michigan.
I also have experience as a marketing consultant for small businesses, developing marketing strategies for entrepreneurs that do not have full-time marketing staffers employed in-house. This work has included the creation and implementation of marketing plans, collateral development, sales strategies, direct marketing campaigns, public relations and more.
