I am an experienced and highly skilled journalist/author who has spent the past 10 years writing, commissioning and editing across a number of highly regarded publications, from The Guardian to FourFourTwo to Sport to Golf World.
During the course of the last few years I have interviewed the great and good of sport and the wider world, including Usain Bolt, David Beckham (twice), Tiger Woods (three times), Pele, Cristiano Ronaldo, Ian Brown, Buzz Aldrin and Liam Gallagher, to name just a few.
I have worked to a very high level across almost every area of magazines, including writing and subbing, to section editing, to commissioning and rewriting. While at the Guardian, I was one of the early writers of The Fiver email and responsible for the then-pioneering minute-by-minute and over-by-over match reports. I was part of the Guardian's Bafta-winning team for its Euro 2004 coverage and my work on their fearless Small Talk interviews was listed in 2005 by Esquire magazine as the '22nd best thing in the media’. In 2010 I was shortlisted for the prestigious PPA consumer magazine writer of the year award.
I am also the author of four books – Man Skills and If It’s Broke, Fix It, Help: I’m A Dad! and Top 10 For Men, all of which have sold very healthily.
At present, I am a freelance writer, editor and author, working for a number of tiles including FourFourTwo, FourFourTwo.com, Golf World, Populous, Forever Sports, FHM and various others.
I would welcome commissions on any of the subjects covered above.
