Specialist areas

Ryan Hills is a keen sports fan, and someone who thrives when given the chance to write on it. Having worked with major magazines and sports clubs, he has been able to work within the industry already, and put together a plethora of work. Placements down in London have seen Ryan work with FHM, Forever Sports and Give Me Sport. In addition to these he has also been able to work at the 2015 All-England Badminton tournament, one of the biggest in the sports calendar. Ryan also has newspaper experience with the Loughborough Echo. His longest placement has been with FC Halifax Town - a club he has now worked at since October 2014. This has seen him provide audio and television commentary, in addition to updates and match reports. Time has also been spent with Frickley Athletic and Huddersfield Town Ladies. But one of his unique selling points is that he has been able to obtain paid work since late 2014 with Planet Rugby. One of the most visited Rugby Union websites, Ryan has written match reports every weekend of the season which are read by thousands. Outside of University Ryan has a part time job with Primark, and enjoys going to the cinema and theme parks.
