Biography

I'm the best-selling author of dating memoir Sugar Daddy Diaries and also author of Screw The Fairytale - a polemic looking at modern models of relationships as alternatives to the outdated 'fairytale marriage.' The topic of my books has made me a well-known writer in the field of relationships, family models, single women, dating and sex. But I write about a broader spectrum of topics too such as health and fitness (particularly triathlon which is my passion), consumer interest, women's interest and anything with a nod to feminism or gender roles.

I'm well known for my immersive journalism (like going undercover on a marital affair website and meeting a load of cheating men for The Mirror), my consumer-type investigations (such as exposing some high street shops for wrongly charging 5p for paper bags for The MailOnline) and my provocative opinion pieces (such as arguing that 'single' will soon become the new happily ever after' for The Telegrpah).

I'm interested in hearing from editors who want to receive pitches and editors who have specific features or investigations that need carrying out,

I also would like to hear from PRs with strong stories related to the topics I write about and PRs or advertisers who need a quality, experienced copywriter for press releases, advertising copy or corporate material.

Finally, as a partner with Nine Media Training, I offer bespoke media training services to companies and in-house media consulting for PRs and I'm happy to discuss this in more detail with any PR companies.

As well as print journalism, I'm a regular TV and radio commentator. You may have seen me reviewing the papers early in the morning on Sky News or late at night on BBC Radio London. I've appeared as a commentator on Newsnight, This Morning, Daybreak, Lorraine, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC Breakfast, Woman’s Hour and more.

Outside of journalism I'm a Team GB age-group triathlete (don’t ask which age group!) and love, love, love running, cycling, swimming and endurance sport.
