1994 to 1998. Three and a half years as Editor of Professional Engineering, the 80,000 circulation magazine of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. Responsible for its transfer to London and its relaunch and redesign as the fortnightly business magazine for manufacturing engineering. Also contributed articles to the Financial Times.
1984 to 1994. Ten years with The Engineer, the fortnightly news magazine for manufacturing industry, last four years as Deputy Editor. Contributed regularly to the Financial Times.
1978 to 1984. Six years as Editor of Production Engineer, monthly magazine of the Institution of Production Engineers.
1977 to 1978. One year as assistant editor with public relations company, responsible for production of a number of in-house company magazines.
1970 to 1977. Four years as Assistant Editor of Manufacturing Management. Two years as Editor of incentive travel newspaper International Fairs & Conferences. One year as Assistant Editor of International Freighting Weekly.
