I have been working as a journalist since 1982.
I began as a staff writer for VNU Business Publications where I worked on a number of titles, including Personal Computer World and What Micro?
I left in 1984 to pursue a freelance career. I focused initially on computers and technology, and then branched out into writing about film and the arts, politics and social affairs.
My work has appeared in a wide variety of publications in the UK and abroad, including The Independent, The Times, The Sunday Times, The Australian, The Scotsman, Rolling Stone, The Big Issue, The Jewish Chronicle, Total Film, Empire, the Daily Mirror, and BBC Online.
