I specialise in writing about outdoor swimming, adventure travel, family travel, the UK's wild places, health, mental health, fitness and relationships.
I have published a few books, among them Wild Swim, written for most national magazines and papers, and been on the radio regularly and TV (including presenting on BBC Coast) intermittently.
During my freelance and staff career I have edited the health sections at the Evening Standard, Grazia, Good Housekeeping and Zest, and had regular columns in the Sunday Times STYLE and Cosmopolitan. I love research and travel, and psychology stories are a pet love.
