In career spanning 30-years I have been, in turn, a technical journalist and a senior account executive in public relations agencies where I representing leading companies in the information and communications technology sector. Today I am looking to work with newspaper on a freelance or project basis.
As a reporter for Electronics Weekly, my first job in journalism, I reported on many of those developments in microcircuit technology that power today’s internet society. Later, as the UK Correspondent for Electronics International, McGraw Hill (US) I reported on both business and technology stories in the UK.
Subsequently, as a senior account executive with leading public relations consultancies I represented clients such as Toshiba, ARM Holdings, GE Network Systems, Spectra Physics and 3Com Corporation.
As a freelance writer I have written for the Financial Times, researched and written a 24-page advertorial for International Business Week and contributed feature articles to the New Scientist.
I was a regular contributor to Cable & Satellite International and Property Investor News.
I have worked in the power engineering industry – experience that would be particularly relevant to green technology issues.
