As a strong, versatile writer, I have amassed over seven years of experience throughout UK publishing, working across newspapers, magazines and online, on both consumer and business-to-business ventures.
My current position as assistant editor for a Bristol-based contract publisher demands flexibility and accuracy under pressure, and moving away from the newsdesk of my last post has given me the opportunity to reconnect with feature writing and commissioning.
My interest in features stems from a desire to get to the detail of any story, and I feel that my broad range of experiences across the media has given me a strong base for producing only the best lengthy studies of any given topic, be it editorial in the field of travel, health or fashion, or concerning such diverse interview subjects as Edwina Currie, Razorlight or John Simpson.
As well as my full-time work, I also work as a freelancer for a variety of publications, which is a testament to my ability to write in a number of voices, dependent on the readership.
In accumulating first core journalistic skills and subsequently senior editorial experience I have shown myself to be a reliable, assiduous writer capable of delivering excellent results.
