I'm the director of the Midlands editorial and new media agency Passionate Media and editor of the parenting resource Ready for Ten aimed at families with children aged six to nine. Alongside offering training workshops for aspiring and established freelance journalists and marketing teams in writing and new media skills, we also work on features for various publications as well as publishing a range of well-received blogs.
www.havealovelytime.com - recently named as a Top 50 blog by lastminute.com and as a top tweeter by Times online, reporting on family travel and entertainment.
www.gotyourhandsfull.com - leading UK 'mum blog' which also incorporates media and freelance writing advice.
http://judithsroom.typepad.com - Blog for women's writing community Judith's Room, seeking to empower women writers.
www.passionatemedia.co.uk/speakingup/ - Breaking the Silence - a blog helping people share their experiences of mental health issues.
FROM detailing the horror of receiving big pants for Christmas in Bella, to reporting on the heinous crimes of Fred West, my career has spanned nearly two decades and seen work published in dozens of publications.
Recently, I've written on subjects including technology, parenting and journalism for titles including The Guardian and Press Gazette.
I have also written regular 'real life' stories for newspapers and magazines - especially the best selling women's weeklies.
A former news editor on the Wolverhampton Express & Star and the Worcester Evening News, I have also worked as a senior reporter at several regional newspapers.
Other publications I've edited include Tamba’s Twins, Triplets & More magazine and the St Petersburg Press in Russia.
