Hello, my name is Stephen and I’m interested in becoming a journalistic writer and pursing a course of observational writing. Please find attached a journalistic writing I’ve done on a recent trip around the northern area of Thailand. I stayed there for 3 months. I just took a flight only ticket, hired a moped (£1.50 per day) and rode everywhere, travelled, took hundreds of digital photos with my trusty Nikon and compiled them, stayed with some locals, and at roadside lodges/back packer accommodation and soaked up the surroundings.
I used to write these back to the UK and spam my contacts list on MSN with a few photos to nourish the words, and judging by the favourable feedback I had I’m taking it further and writing to you.

I’d be interested in what you think, I am not the sort of person to blind someone with science here, list all my grades and tell you how wonderful I am at being a potential employee. I’m just telling you like it is for me. I’m a bright cookie, intelligent etc. If you decide to communicate further you’ll find that out.
I used to be in Graphic Design (12 years) and I left that because I didn’t want to be chained to a desk 9-5ing it anymore. I knew it wasn’t me. Travel to me IS the best thing about living and what it gives you. There’s not a more fulfilling feeling in life that I have experienced.
I’ve been to Thailand 3 times and Gambia 9 times. Most recently in January of this year. I wish to go further, experience more, take it all in and commit it to paper. I’m 34, not married and working part time so I have time.
