After obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from Cardiff University I began my career as Assistant Editor at International Arts Manager magazine, moving on to be Editor at the Society of London Theatre, writing for leading theatre website officiallondontheatre.co.uk and editing the fortnightly printed Official London Theatre Guide (circulation 145,500).
I'm an experienced celebrity interviewer - past subjects include Eddie Redmayne, Sheridan Smith, Gemma Arterton, Rupert Goold, Meera Syal and Stephen Daldry.
Now freelance, I've written on culture for publications including FRANCE magazine, EasyJet Traveller, bthere, Runner's World and BA High Life. I've reviewed books for booktrust.org.uk and contributed to The Guardian's theatre blog. In summer 2012 I was Theatre Editor of Fest, covering the Edinburgh Festivals.
I also write about travel for The Independent, Worldtravelguide.net, RedOnline.co.uk, Adventure Travel and others. I have particular knowledge of France, Switzerland (where I currently live), Canada, Iceland and Vietnam.
I hold a professional proofreading qualification from the Publishing Training Centre and am open to proofreading commissions. Clients include The Wellcome Trust.
