Biography

A pensions insider with over 30 years of hands-on experience in the pensions/employee benefits area including running an in-house pension scheme, attending trustee meetings and working for a third-party. administrator. I have also spent five years as a staff writer for Occupational Pensions magazine and 14 years with a specialist financial PR consultancy. As well as writing articles and news items for publication I have a great deal of experience of creating employee communications material for both print and electronic media.

Recent work published articles: in depth technical articles on pensions issues, case studies and surveys for Occupational Pensions magazine, articles about pensions and investment issues for Pensions Age, European Pensions, IPE and Engaged Investor, leaflets for Tolleys Pension Service. I have also been a regular news contributor to WealthBriefing.

Pensions communications: drafting and diting producing a wide range of communcations for the employers of a very large multi-employer pension scheme curently undergoing major changes; producing newsletters and handbooks for pension scheme members.

Marketing communications: drafting and editing marketing material - on automatic enrolment, changes to pension taxation, estate planning, funding for education and other topical issues - for a major firm of financial advisers. Drafting blogs and e-books for financial services providers.
