He started his career photographing writers and celebrities, working extensively for The Sunday Times and Telegraph magazines, as well as taking cover photographs for numerous book jackets. He was featured in Twenty for Today, a major exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London and many of his photographs are in their permanent collection.

He is married with two gorgeous daughters and outside photography loves cricket (MCC and Vagabonds CC ), squash and skiing.
