Former Time Out food editor & until 2006 food editor of The Independent, followed by freelance feature writing contract for The Times’ Body & Soul section. Guild of Food Writers Food Journalist of the Year 2005 + shortlisted 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Glenfiddich Food & Drink Awards: 2002 and 1996 for restaurant reviewing. Currently teaching cooking and nutrition in a secondary school and would welcome commissions on this subject. In 2015 wrote series of chef profiles for The Guardian’s Cook section.
