Kathryn Hawkins is an experienced home economist based in central Scotland. She is a food writer, recipe writer and food stylist, and a former cookery editor of Woman’s Own magazine. Her writing career began in the late Eighties on BEST magazine, but since 1992, Kathryn has been freelance. She has worked for a wide range of food clients such as Quality Meat Scotland, DC Thomson, Dr Oetker, Slimming World, Baxter's and ASDA. She has prepared food for hundreds of photographs on food packaging and in advertisements, as well as in magazines and books. To date, she has written over 20 cookery books. Kathryn has been living and working in Crieff, Perthshire, since 2004. From here, she is within easy reach of Scotland's major creative cities as well as locations such as Manchester and Newcastle; Kathryn also travels to London for her work. With the knowledge and skills she has gained over the years, Kathryn also teaches and demonstrates on a variety of cookery subjects.
