I am a photographer and writer specialising in editorial, people stories, case studies, social and humanitarian causes, travel, leisure and tourism, food and drink. My image library contains rights managed images for licensed use.
'I like to use photography and words to tell a story, for example, I have talked to survivors of the genocide in Rwanda , enjoyed wonderful hospitality at community projects in Ethiopia, motored along a stormy amazon river on the darkest of nights, documented lives of children living with the after effects of the Chernobyl disaster and experienced nomadic life in Mongolia'.
Country expertise includes Ethiopia (where I have worked regularly since 2010), Mongolia, Morocco, Colombia, Rwanda, South East Asia, Australia, Greece, Malta, France, the UK plus knowledge of many more places thanks to my career in the travel industry!
Gail's portfolio includes cause-related people stories, case studies, community and conservation projects, experiential and niche tourism development, exciting holiday destinations and travel experiences plus personal thoughts on the 'negative impacts of tourism'.
NGO, Charity and NFP work concentrates on stories with a purpose, mostly focused on children and women, marginalised people, poverty reducing initiatives and agricultural projects.
Print and online media publications include 'people' stories, interviews, consumer lifestyle, destination news, travel and leisure articles, food and drink, events, green features.
Gail speaks adequate French, Greek and conversational German, is media trained, has taken part in TV and radio shows, and accepted invitations to be a guest speaker and panellist.
Gail is the founder of Responsible Photography, and a Council Member for Tourism Concern.
