I am a British freelancer who has worked as an editor and journalist for more than 25 years. Over that time, I have written, among others, for The Times/Raconteur, International Business Times, the Guardian, the Sunday Telegraph, BusinessGreen.com, diginomica.com, Personnel Today, HR magazine, InfoSecurity and Financial Director magazine.
I also currently edit the Global Payroll Association's content website, GPA.Live, on top of my other writing work.
My career started in 1992 when I joined a daily tech newswire service. After working for various weekly magazines, I entered the dotcom world four years later with online daily news service, vnunet.com. I worked there for about five years, two of which were spent in San Francisco, California, as US Bureau Chief.
Since then, I have mostly been employed in a freelance capacity undertaking everything from copywriting and developing multifarious kinds of marketing material to writing and editing in a journalistic capacity - although I spent two years in South Africa in the interim, where I wrote for International Business Times. Prior to my time there, I was editor of HRZone.co.uk, an online publication and community aimed at HR professionals, for 18 months.
