|Full name||Sophie Atherton|
I mostly write about beer and am also an accredited beer sommelier. I have a monthly column in Great British Food magazine and regularly write for The Daily Telegraph and BEER magazine. I also write a beer blog (although please don't ever call me a blogger!) called A FemAle View and co-host a podcast called The Beertalkers. I'm also interested in women's issues/feminism, parenting, wildlife and conservation - but I need a mega hook to make it worth pitching articles on these topics.

I'm a qualified and experienced journalist (and accredited beer sommelier) whose clients include The Guardian and The Telegraph and national magazines BEER and Great British Food. I mostly write about beer but I also write travel-related articles and I'm interested in wildlife, conservation, parenting/step-parenting and feminist stories.
I'm available for all sorts of writing gigs - large or small, local, regional or national - and I also do broadcast work and public speaking.
I am also an accredited beer sommelier (I was the first woman in the UK to become one) and have won awards for my sommelier work and beer writing.
