I'm an author of three books and a freelance journalist and producer.

My latest title This Girl Ran: Tales of a Party Girl Turned Triathlete is a memoir about ditching a glamorous city girl lifestyle, toughening up through outdoor sport and qualifying to be a GB triathlete.

My other books are Sugar Daddy Diaries, which became a WHSmith bestseller in 2011, and Screw the Fairytale, a polemic questioning whether marriage and commitment are still viable in modern society.

As a journalist, I have written for almost all of the national papers from The Sunday Times to The Mirror. I tend to write features, comment pieces or investigative pieces in the areas of social trends, health and fitness, consumer interest, women's interest and anything with a nod to feminism or gender roles.

I am interested in hearing from PRs if you have a very specific idea that fits for a publication you know I write for. As a freelance journalist, I have to pitch all my ideas and can only pitch a ma. I can't do reviews / interviews / news announcements or publish comments or guest blogs.

I'm interested in hearing from editors looking for new writers with fresh ideas. Am open to brainstorming new ideas if you give me a steer on a topic.

Finally, I run several PR training courses aimed at agency PRs, publicists and comms teams . I run these with www.NineMediaTraining.com. We run open courses but also bring all courses in-house to train whole teams. We cover pitching, developing story angles, networking with journalists and more. I'm happy to discuss this in more detail with any PR companies.

As well as print journalism, I'm a regular TV and radio commentator. You may have seen me reviewing the papers early in the morning on Sky News or late at night on BBC News Channel. I've appeared as a commentator on Newsnight, This Morning, Daybreak, Lorraine, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, BBC Breakfast, Woman’s Hour and more.

Outside of journalism I'm a GB age-group triathlete (don’t ask which age group!) and love running, cycling, swimming and endurance sport.
