    Biography

In 1975 I first appeared on the stage at The Theatre Royal, Windsor at the tender age of three in 'The Sleeping Beauty' by John Page with a most youthful Charles Dance as The Prince.

I have appeared in many productions since, such as in 1992 I appeared on tour alongside Eric Sykes in the '19th Hole' by Johnny Speight, Directed by Tony Craven & Eric Sykes and in 2010 I appeared in 'Witness for the Prosecution' at the Theatre Royal, Windsor as Mr Barton QC to name but two...

From the stage and music to radio and television, I have produced, presented, performed, written and acted my way along life's long and winding road right up to today.

My association and love of The Theatre Royal Windsor started when I was a young child, on & off stage & I am now a Director of Windsor Theatre Ltd.

Media is an industry-leading Media Company, operating businesses in Publishing, Interactive and Broadcasting, Radio, Television and the Theatre. We are one of the UK's largest and most successful independent creators, producers and distributors of outstanding programmes, productions, new media and radio. From prime time and serial drama, from radio to theatrical production, from entertainment to factual entertainment, our productions continue to excite, challenge, entertain and inspire audiences worldwide.

Francis Media was set up in 1993 as an Independent Television & Radio Production Company specialising in Entertainment, History, Travel, Science and Technology, Observational Documentary and popular factual entertainment formats.

The company is based in Windsor, Berkshire and it has a strong commitment to playing its part in the development of the Television Industry within the South East Region and to nurturing local programme making talent for worldwide audiences.

I was educated in Media, Art/Design, Filming, Production and Photography in Windsor, Berkshire at the former Art College.

Before starting up Francis Media I worked within Local Government and Qualified as a Incorporated and Chartered Engineer. Following this I became a Sales Director of a Leading Printer Manufacturer within Europe. It was here I learnt my business skills and indeed how the company was conceived....

Having sold a very large number of home printers to the shopping channel QVC, I got a call saying they could not sell them and wanted to return the products to me. Upon hearing this I offered to help train their presenter on how to sell the product on air. When I arrived at QVC I listen to the presenter talk about the product, and in my own unique style turned to him and said “you don't do it like that, you do it like this” ...from that moment onwards, after selling out of the printers in 30 minutes, I have produced, presented and developed programming for both Television and Radio. I can even still be seen still treading the boards at the theatre, such as in a resent production of Bill Kenwright's, “Witness for the Prosecution.” at the Theatre Royal Windsor.

Although the company has expanded considerably, employing some of the best freelance talent in the region on our programmes, we are still basically a family run business within a a corporate cloak, producing excellence in a Global Arena.

People often ask how we have managed to develop so many memorable shows and favourite on air personalities without losing our signature quality or losing our minds.

The answer is simple: we use great people.

In fact, what sets us apart from our competitors is our distinctive company culture, our knack for finding and telling unique stories, our highly organised infra-structure and our seriously cutting edge technology.

All of these strengths have resulted in World Class Television and Radio Programmes produced with cost efficiency. But do not let the less than Million Pound per episode price tags fool you…

There is no limit to what Christopher & Francis Media can do, because we have the right people, the right resources and the not-so-common sense to know talent when we see it.

Francis Media have produced more than 900 hours of Television and Radio since we launched in 1993. and our programmes have been sold, or re-versioned, in more than 50 countries worldwide.
